What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information:

Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. Text), address, interests, and similar information. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers.

Personal Data

Personal data is collected when users provide personal data to InventSuccess, for example by registering through the Site and donating funds. The personal information that you provide must be true, accurate and complete and all registration details (where applicable) must contain your real name, address and other requested details. To update your personal information, please log in to the Site and click on the “Edit Account” tab.

Internet Protocol Address:

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users' movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Aggregated Information

Aggregated information, such as information on traffic patterns within the site, is collected through various methods.

Use of "Cookies":

Our Site may use cookies to enhance your experience while using our Site. Cookies are pieces of information that some Web sites transfer to the computer that is browsing that Web site and are used for record-keeping purposes at many Web sites. Use of cookies makes Web-surfing easier by performing certain functions such as, saving your passwords, your personal preferences regarding your use of the particular Web site, and makes sure you don't see the same ad repeatedly. Regular use of cookies is considered to be an industry standard.  Your browser is probably set to accept cookies. However, if you would prefer not to receive cookies, you can alter the configuration of your browser to refuse cookies. If you choose to have your browser refuse cookies, it is possible that some areas of our Site will not function properly when you view them.

Security:
All information provided to the InventSuccess is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our Site that is only accessible by certain qualified employees of the InventSuccess. Unfortunately however, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

Tell-A-Friend: Mike, can we set up something to allow for these referrals?
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our Site, we ask them for the friend's name and e-mail address. The InventSuccess will automatically send the friend a one-time e-mail inviting them to visit the Site. InventSuccess stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time e-mail.

Other Web Sites:

Our Site contains links to other Web sites. Please note that when you click on one of these links, you are entering another Web site for which the InventSuccess has no responsibility. We encourage you to read the privacy statements on all such sites as their policies may be different than ours.

Sharing Information:

InventSuccess does not share or exchange visitor information (e.g., name, address, e-mail address) with other organizations.  Upon registration through the Site, we may send you periodic e-mails on a variety of topics. You may elect during registration to receive these e-mails, and you may start or stop receiving such e-mails at any time by sending an e-mail to unsubscribe@inventsuccess.org. InventSuccess will not share your e-mail address with third parties. InventSuccess may share postal mailing lists with other non-profits for a one-time use by the other non-profit. If you are a financial donor to InventSuccess, you may request that we withhold your mailing information from any list exchanges with other non-profits.

Please e-mail us at info@inventsuccess.org. In the subject field, type “Mailing List Opt Out” and provide us your name, e-mail or postal address depending on how you made your contribution to our organization. InventSuccess donor, client or grantor lists are never sold or made public to third parties.   InventSuccess may also share information with consultants and affiliates for internal business purposes and may divulge personal information if such information is subpoenaed, or if InventSuccess believes that any user has committed unlawful acts, to acts that endanger the health or safety of another user or of the general public. In some situations, we will share your personal information, on a confidential basis, with third parties who perform a particular service on our behalf, such as sending e-mails. Also, InventSuccess reserves the right to sell customer information in connection with its merger, acquisition, sale or bankruptcy.

In addition, all InventSuccess agents and contracts with access to personal information obtained on the InventSuccess web site are bound to adhere to this policy as part of their contract with InventSuccess.

InventSuccess protects your personal information in a variety of ways. In addition, personal information provided to our events and donations sites is encrypted. We also protect that account information by placing it on a secure portion of our site that is only accessible by authorized personnel. In addition, IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

In addition, InventSuccess conducts regular security reviews of the hardware and software powering the site and makes the appropriate upgrades when required. All hardware access is limited to personnel who are authorized and who must pass through a variety of security measures to access the system. Vendors who have access to the servers are aware of the security restrictions and follow the appropriate protocols to maintain the security of the system.

Please remember that transmission of data over the Internet is not guaranteed to be completely secured. It may be possible for hackers or other third parties not under the control of InventSuccess to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect your personal information, InventSuccess cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. Any such transmission is done at your own risk.
